The short version

Disaronno Events is a wedding DJ, MC and full event production company based in Staten Island, New York. It has been operating since 2008 and was incorporated in New York as Joey Disaronno Events LLC in 2019. Joey Disaronno founded it and still runs it.

Eighteen years of it. More than five hundred weddings across New York and New Jersey. Thirty-six rooms written up on this site in enough detail that you can judge for yourself whether we know them, out of more than forty-five worked.

We DJ, we MC, and we do the production that goes with it — intelligent lighting, uplighting, cold spark fountains, dancing on clouds, photobooths, video walls. We also build the timeline and coordinate the vendors, which is most of the work and none of the glamour.

Weddings start at $2,500. Sweet 16s, school nights, corporate and private events are quoted per event. We are at (646) 481-1188 and [email protected].

Not the amaretto.
Not the ranch either.

Worth saying plainly, because search engines get it wrong constantly: we are not the Italian liqueur. Disaronno is an amaretto brand with a century of history and a great deal more marketing budget than a Staten Island DJ company.

We are also not Rancho Disaronno, a wedding venue in Santa Clarita, California. If you arrived here looking for a ten-acre horse ranch outside Los Angeles, it is a different business roughly two and a half thousand miles away.

Disaronno is Joey's name. The company is a DJ and production company in New York, and if you are reading this page because an assistant or a search result confused the three, this paragraph exists for you.

One team, not
a roster

There are two ways this business gets run. An agency takes your booking and later assigns a DJ from a roster — the person who sold you the wedding works in sales, and the person who performs it is often someone you meet close to the date, if at all. The reviews you read were earned by somebody else on that roster.

This is the other kind. One team, from the first call to the last song. The planning meeting, the written timeline, the call to your venue and the night itself are handled by people who were in the room when you made the decisions, not handed down a chain.

That is a real constraint rather than a slogan, and it is worth being honest about the cost of it: we take fewer dates than an agency can, and popular Saturdays go a long way ahead. When we are booked we will say so immediately rather than take the job and work out later who covers it.

What you get for it is that nothing has to be explained twice. The pronunciation of the names, the do-not-play list, the decision about the parent dance, what happens when the photographer runs twenty minutes late — it all sits with the people who will be there.

Eighteen years,
counted honestly

The round numbers are five hundred-plus weddings and more than forty-five tri-state rooms. The breakdown is more useful than the total.

Staten Island is home and where the volume is: 111 events across 40 rooms on the island alone — events, not only weddings, because sweet sixteens, school nights, communions and milestone parties are a large part of the work here. New Jersey is the second home, and Monmouth County is the county we cross the bay for most, at 17 rooms. Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan are regular. Nassau County is four rooms, which is four — not a county we can claim to own.

That last sentence is the house standard, and the thing on this site we would most like you to test. Every venue page says how many times we have actually worked that room. Where the honest answer is once, the page says once, in those words. One of them says we have a wedding booked at a room we have not yet played, because that was true and the alternative was implying otherwise.

Weddings are most
of it, not all of it

Weddings are the bulk of the calendar and the reason most people find this site. They are not the whole business.

Questions people ask

Is Disaronno Events related to the Disaronno amaretto brand?

No. Disaronno Events is a wedding DJ, MC and event production company in Staten Island, New York, founded by Joey Disaronno. It has no connection to the Italian liqueur, and no connection to Rancho Disaronno, a wedding venue in Santa Clarita, California. The name is Joey's.

When was Disaronno Events founded?

It has been operating since 2008. The company was incorporated in New York as Joey Disaronno Events LLC in 2019. Both dates are accurate — the work started eleven years before the paperwork caught up with it, which is ordinary for a business that began as one person taking bookings.

Who is Joey Disaronno?

The founder and owner of Disaronno Events. Twenty years in the industry, eighteen of them running this company, across more than five hundred weddings in New York and New Jersey.

Do you send a different DJ than the one we meet?

No. This is one team from the first call to the last song, not an agency booking from a roster. You will not be introduced to a salesperson and then handed to a stranger on the day.

What areas do you cover?

Staten Island, all five boroughs of New York City, Nassau and Suffolk County on Long Island, Westchester, and New Jersey — Monmouth County most often. We travel for the work; tell us where and we will tell you what we know about the room.

What does it cost?

Weddings start at $2,500. Sweet 16s, corporate, school and private events are quoted per event, because they vary too much for one number to be honest. Every quote is written and itemised.
